How do I sign up?

How do I submit my monthly entry?

You can submit your monthly entry using this form.

Is there a specific date I need to submit my entry every month?

You can submit your entry whenever you finish reading your book for that month, up until the last day of the month.

What if I do not submit an entry every month?

If you sign up for the Challenge late or you skip a month, that’s okay! You can still participate in the challenge and will be invited to the year-end celebration hosted by Mass Center for the Book. However, you will not be eligible to win 1 of 2 totes filled with books and Massachusetts goodies.

What if I cannot find a book for a specific category?

Your local library or bookstore can be a great resource for you to find books that qualify for each category. For March, Mass Center for the Book has resources on our Mass Book Award web pages here and here and on our Bookshop.

If I am not yet 18, what kind of book should I read for the month of October?

If you haven’t yet turned 18, for the month of October, read a bestseller from the year you were born.

Can I participate if I live outside of Massachusetts?

Although the program will be promoted throughout Massachusetts, all are welcome to participate.
